S/S 2012: Smiling Like You Mean it!

It’s a fact. When one thinks of fashion, one usually thinks of high taste and even higher snobbery. But this season, the rules of the game have changed: Fashion is happier than ever and it wants you to know it. Laughing, smiling and being part of a larger than life family seems to be the ordre du jour. This does make me wonder however: What does it mean when the evil queen looks for once in her life like the happiest, most sincere woman on earth? Is it a boost or does it only underline consumers’ desire to be part of something, relieved for once and for all from all the crisis charade. In any case, smile. It’s contagious!

However remember one thing: Smiling with the Gabbanas might be fun, but let me tell you: it will cost you.
